In this Workshop you will learn how to sew a reversible bucket hat for kids. The hat is suitable for boys and girls and is perfect for the summer!
Here at the Sunday Sewing Club we sew in a cosy relaxed environment in a small group accompanied by tea, biscuits and friendly chatter. And you don’t need to worry what to bring to this workshop because all the tools and materials are provided. And there will be beautiful fabrics for you to choose from!
For this project we offer you lightweight fabrics of natural fibre – cotton and linen. They are breathable and easy to care after, just wash them in a washing machine. For the same reasons the hat is foldable and easily packable for carrying around.
There will be fabrics of different colours, plain and patterned, so the choice is yours! And since the hat can be worn reversed you can choose two contrasting fabrics and have two different looks! Or maybe even choose different fabrics for brim and the rest of the hat and make it unique!
Some of the skills we will practice:
– using patterns to cut out fabric
– sewing straight and curvy lines
– top-stitching
– joining two hats into one to make it reversible!
The hat has three size options and we will ask you to measure the head of the child you’re sewing to before the class so we can tweak patterns if necessary.

REQUIRED SKILS: Suitable for adults and teenagers. Beginners are welcome, but for this project previous experience on a sewing machine is recommended.

This workshop has a maximum capacity of 5 participants. It will be held with a minimum of 2 participants.
This Workshop will be held in The Craft Company’s studio in Cascais, and in English.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
The amount will only be refunded in case of written cancellation and not later than 1 week in advance, in relation to the day and time scheduled of the Workshop.
