An advent calendar is a fun and decorative way to count down the days until Christmas and can be filled with small gifts or kind words and wishes for each day leading up to Christmas. It brings joy not only for children but adults alike!
Sewing your own advent calendar can be a wonderful alternative to store-bought options. It provides you with the opportunity to create a unique and personalised item. You will be able to choose from a variety of fabrics and colours to create a one-of-a-kind design that reflects your personal style and creativity. Additionally, sewing your own advent calendar allows you to incorporate fabrics or clothes that have special meaning to you and to create something personal that will last for years to come.
It can also serve as a very generous gift for the loved ones!
Some of the skills you will practice:
- patchwork
- sewing straight lines and corners on a sewing machine
- pocket sewing technique
- sewing ribbons
- applying fusible interfacing and more.
We sew in a cosy relaxed environment in a small group accompanied by tea, biscuits, music and a friendly chatter. You don’t need to worry about what to bring to this workshop because all materials are already included in the price.
The process of creating something by hand is a fulfilling and rewarding experience that will provide you with a sense of accomplishment and pride. Trust me.

This Workshop will be held in The Craft Company’s studio in Cascais, and in English.
